If you made an order between October 20th and November 18th then you probably received an email with this information in it already but I wanted to make sure I got the story out to as many of my customers as possible so here it is again in this Blog post.
This is still one of the weirdest things I've ever had to write as I never imagined I would have something so dramatic and mind altering happen to me! But here we go......
On Sunday November 10. 2019 I had a day like any other and wasn't expecting anything major to occur... well I had another 5 weeks until my babies due date so I thought nothing of my "normal" pregnancy day. I know this pregnancy announcement is WAY late and a sudden thing for most readers.... I wanted to keep it private as long as possible because I wasn't sure how it would be received by the BJD community and I myself was still shocked even after 8 months!
So the night of the 10th I went to bed as usual with no signs of anything wrong until at 2 AM I woke to a severe headache and upper right torso pain that at the time were bad enough to be considered labor pains, so off to the hospital we rushed unsure of why this was so different from what I had read about labor and delivery pains. once arriving at the hospital things took a very dramatic turn for me as I went into a seizure, blacked out and stopped breathing.... better known as Preeclampsia.
With no prior signs of this issue my doctor had no choice but to perform an emergency C- Section and was able to save both our lives. The amazing nurses who managed to restart my heart and keep my littles ones vitals going can never be appreciated enough! If you are a nurse of any kind and reading this.... THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU ARE AMAZING!
My little boy was born at 4 AM on Monday the 11th, 5 weeks before his due date thanks to my random body!
I only woke on the following Tuesday ( I believe I am still really fuzzy on the details) to the hospital bed, a C-Section scare, and my poor husband and family trying to explain to me that I had basically died the day prior and that our son was in a different hospital NICU 30 min away but was strong and very tiny at 3 lbs 14 oz!
Its been 3 weeks now since this all happened and I am still trying to come to terms with it all. I wasn't expecting him to arrive before I got to announce I was pregnant or for the dramatic entrance into the world! haha
On Thanksgiving, just 2 weeks after his birth we got to bring our little Lykan home! Hes growing so fast and I am so relieved that it was my body freaking out and had NOTHING to do with my little man! If you have been following my Instagram or Facebook story than you probably have already seen a ton of pictures of him .... and do expect more :)
though I will try to not annoy you with them haha
I know this is a crazy read and I hope it all makes sense as I am still coming down from all the medications... But thats the story of where I've been for the past few weeks!
